Goa CM assures to resolve issue of pension scheme

Panaji, Oct 20 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday assured members of Goan Seamen Association to resolve the issues regarding the pension scheme for retired Seamen or widows.
A delegation of Goan Seamen Association of India submitted a letter to the Chief Minister requesting the Government to restart the scheme.
Retired Seamen or widows were receiving financial help through Goa Welfare Pension Scheme for Seafarers for last five years. It was informed that the scheme had been stopped without intimating the beneficiaries causing inconvenience to them.
