Patna, May 23 (UNI) BJP candidate and Union minister Giriraj Singh defeated his nearest rival and CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar by a margin of 422217 votes.
According to Election Commission, BJP candidate Mr Singh polled 692193 votes, while CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar got 279976 votes. RJD candidate Tanvir Hasan polled more than 198200 votes.
