Gill, Kishan tons seal emphatic victory as India outclass Afghanistan

Lucknow, June 17 (UNI) Centuries from captain Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan powered India to a commanding 170-run victory over Afghanistan in the second ODI at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead with a display of batting dominance and disciplined bowling.
Gill produced a captain's knock of 154 off 110 balls, while Kishan unleashed a blistering 125 from just 79 deliveries as India amassed a daunting 402 all out in 49.5 overs after being asked to bat.
The match turned decisively during the pair's magnificent 224-run partnership for the third wicket, which left the Afghan bowlers searching for answers. Gill blended elegance with authority, striking 22 fours and two sixes, while Kishan shifted gears spectacularly after reaching his half-century, peppering the boundary ropes with 14 fours and seven sixes.

Harare, July 10 (UNI) Bangladesh have suffered an injury setback with Mustafizur Rahman ruled out for four weeks due to a grade one tear in his right hamstring and meniscal degeneration in his right knee.
The left-arm pacer complained of discomfort while bowling during the opening ODI against Zimbabwe on Monday and subsequent scans confirmed the injuries.
