GHMC low voter turnout: Rights without responsibility cannot be sought : Sajjanar

Hyderabad, Dec 1 (UNI) In the backdrop of low voter turnout in the GHMC elections 2020, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Tuesday evening said that a person, who has not been responsible enough to step out of the comforts of his home to vote at least once in 5 years has no right to seek welfare schemes from the Government nor will he retain the right to question for development.
According to official reports, the lowest voter turnout of 35.80 per cent recorded till 1700 hours, one-hour before the deadline.
The final percentage is yet to be announced by the State Election Commission (SEC) authorities.
