Srinagar, May 24 (UNI) Chairmen of both the factions of Hurriyat Conference and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief discussed a joint strategy against various critical issues, including setting up of Sainik, satellite Pandit colonies in Kashmir valley. However, the government has time and again clarified that there is no proposal for setting up any colony for migrant Pandits and Sainiks. A hardline HC spokesperson here today said the trio, hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, moderate HC chairman Mirwaiz Maulvi Omar Farooq and JKLF chief Yasin Malik, today met at the former's Hyderpora residence here. He said the trio discussed a joint strategy against alleged setting up of Sainik colony, satellite Pandit colony and provision to give land to non-state subjects in the new Industrial Policy. He said during the meeting, it was decided that a strike will be observed on May 26, which will be followed by protest rallies after Friday prayers. “They had a fruitful meeting which lasted for more than one-and-a-half-hours,” he added.
