GDP numbers of second-quarter indicate Indian economy bouncing-back from the onslaught of pandemic: Bhatia

Kolkata, Nov 27 (UNI) Samir Bhatia, Founder & CEO, SME corner and part of the six founding members of HDFC Bank, on Friday said the GDP numbers of second-quarter indicate that Indian economy is bouncing-back from the onslaught of the Covid-19 pandemic.
" The economic contraction of 7.5pc in the September ending quarter is hearting compared to the previous quarter, " Bhatia added.
" As a lender to the MSME sector we see strong signs of recovery in several sectors. It is my strong belief that the current quarter will be much better. The new loan applications reflect good cash flows and stronger sales in the MSME space, " he said.
