GCMMF-Amul sends legal notices to Google , Godaddy for misleading ad-campaigns

Ahmedabad, Jan 16 (UNI) The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the umbrella body of 18 dairies of Gujarat that owns the brand Amul has issued legal notice to Google India and leading web domain provider Godaddy.com in connection with the online advertising campaigns which were being misused to scam innocent individuals in the name of Amul in India.
A senior official of the GCMMF on said that the GCMMF-Amul had sent the legal notice to Google India and Godaddy on January 10 as they have benefited from Google Search of such fraudulent and misleading advertising campaigns.
Meanwhile a statement from the GCMMF today also said that a series of fake B2B campaigns regarding Amul Parlors, Distributors have started through fake websites using Google Search ads since September 2018. These individuals/organizations were having malicious intent of exploiting individuals across India with fake promises of business opportunity with Amul. Many Indians across the geography of India and age group have been robbed of their hard earned money.
