New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Reacting sharply over Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar’s remark that north Indians lack qualifications for public sector jobs, Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that the minister wants to insult the north Indians and it won’t work out.
“You have been in government for over 5 years. You could not able to generate jobs. Whatever jobs were there, they are being snatched away due to slowdown. Youth is hopeful that the government will do something good. But you want to insult the north Indians. This will not work,” Ms Gandhi said in a tweet.
On completion of 100 days in government, the minister was highlighting his dispensation’s achievements. He had said that in last five years Modi government has done a tremendous job for public and the reason why the people have reposed their faith in this government.
Mr Gangwar had added that the government has taken numerous steps in a bid to make Indian economy strong and vibrant that include amalgamation of public sector banks also.
Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said, "Mr Gangwar's statement was highly objectionable, condemnable and unfortunate."
