G7 will not recognise results of Presidential Election in Russia's new regions

Moscow, Feb 22 (UNI) The Group of Seven (G7) is going to pledge to "never recognise" the elections held in Russia's new regions and reaffirm its military and financial support for Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing the group's draft statement.
The upper house of Russian parliament has scheduled the presidential election for March 17. The voting will last from March 15–17. The election will be held in the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics and the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The G7 will call on Russia to "completely" and "unconditionally withdraw its military forces" from Ukraine and impose new sanctions against Russia that will include measures to enforce the price cap on Russian oil, the report said.
