Tokyo, Mar 18 (UNI) Acknowledging the fact that close people-to-people contacts remain the bedrock of Indo-Japanese bilateral relations, Deputy Chairman in Rajya Sabha Harivansh on Monday said that the future of bilateral ties is full of promise and potential.
“The Deputy Chairman expressed that given the close friendship among the people of two countries, growing engagement in many fronts, the future of India-Japan bilateral relation is full of promise and potential. India and Japan continue to be close partners for peace, progress and prosperity in 21st century,” the Rajya Sabha Secretariat said in a statement.
On Saturday, a seven-member parliamentary delegation from Rajya Sabha, headed by Deputy Chairman Harivansh, visited Japan on a goodwill mission and interacted with members of Japan-India Parliamentary Friendship League (JIPFL), on matters of mutual interest between the two countries in general and the two Parliaments in particular.
