Fuel prices: Petrol rises b/w 13-9 p/l; diesel  unchanged

New Delhi, Jul 13 (UNI) Petrol prices increased on Saturday after being remained stable from last four days. An increase of 13 to 9 paise per litre registered in petrol prices while diesel rates remained stable.

In Delhi, petrol was retailing at Rs 72.99 per litre, a 9 paise rise from Friday. Diesel stood at Rs 66.24 per litre.

In Mumbai, while petrol was valued at Rs 78.61 per litre, a 9 paise increase from yesterday's rate.

Diesel price stood at Rs 69.43 a litre.

According to the Indian Oil Corporation data, petrol was retailing at Rs 75.25 per litre in Kolkata, a 13 paise increase from yesterday while diesel costs Rs 68.31 a litre.

Petrol in Chennai retailed at Rs 75.80 per litre while diesel costs Rs 69.96 a litre.

In Noida, petrol was available at a price of Rs 72.30 per litre and diesel stood at Rs 65.34 a litre.

While petrol in Gurugram was priced at Rs 72.82 a litre, diesel was being sold at Rs 65.43 p/l.

As per the country's dynamic pricing mechanism, the domestic fuel prices depend upon International fuel prices on a 15-day average and the value of the rupee.

The price of the two fuels retailing at the petrol pumps is calculated after adding central excise duty, dealers commission and value-added tax (VAT) to the base price.

The prices are revised at 0600 hrs daily, while earlier, they used to be revised every fortnight.
