Undated, Nov 10 (Reuters) Former U.S. international goalkeeper Brad Friedel has been appointed the new head coach of the New England Revolution, the Major League Soccer team announced on Thursday.
Friedel, 46, takes over from Tom Soehn, who served as interim coach after Jay Heaps was sacked in September.
"Brad has been a leader throughout his illustrious career and is regarded as one of the most successful players in U.S. history with experiences spanning multiple continents, leagues, and levels of competition,” said Revolution Investor/Operators Robert and Jonathan Kraft in a team statement.
