Srinagar, Jan 11 (UNI) Border towns of Karnah, Keran, Machil, Tangdhar and other far-flung and remote were cut off with their district headquarters Kupwara following fresh snowfall since Thursday night.
Traffic on Keran and Tangdhar was suspended on Friday following snowfall since last night. Traffic on this road was resumed only two days ago after remaining suspended from Saturday due to snowfall. There was fresh snowfall due to which the road has become slippery, forcing authorities to suspend traffic this morning, official sources told UNI.
However, dozens of villages, including near the LoC, remained cut off from their respective district and Tehsil headquarters following accumulation of snow and slippery road conditions since Saturday. There was fresh snowfall during the night, they said.
