Jammu, Jul 18 (UNI) An eighteenth batch of 1,983 pilgrims on Wednesday left from Bhagwat Nagar base camp here for Amarnath Cave Shrine in a convoy of 59 vehicles chanting ‘bam bam bhole’.
'The pilgrims left from here to perform pilgrimage from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes,' an official here said.
He said that the pilgrims, comprising 1,434 male, 452 females, 75 sadhus, and 422 Sadhvis, left in 39 buses, one motorbike and 19 light motor vehicles.
So far, 65,297 pilgrims had left the base camp from here for the cave shrine.
