Badaun, Sep 22 (UNI) Six people drowned in the Ganges out of which four were successfully rescued in the Sahaswan area here, SDM said on Tuesday.
The body of a girl has been recovered while her sister is yet to be found. A team of divers is looking out for her but have not succeeded until this morning.
SDM Lal Bahadur Singh here said that Mamta, Veervala, Mahavir, children of Prem Singh, a resident of Jamalpur Popri in the Sahaswan area, had gone to the bridge at the Totpur Karsari ghat of the Ganga river on Monday evening. They were accompanied by Ranjit, Suman and Pinki of the same village.
