Four of family drown in River Godavari

Vijayawada, Mar 31(UNI) Four persons, including a woman belonging to one family, were drowned in the river Godavari at Shivagiri village of Polavaram mandal in West Godavari district on Saturday.
Police said that a group of ten tourists came from Jagadalpur in Chhattisgarh for holidaying. Of them, four ventured into the river for a bath and were drowned.
The deceased were identified as Mohan Rathi, Phirangi Rathi, Jagadish Rathi and Akshitha Rathi.
The bodies were retrieved from the river, Police added.
