Samastipur, Nov 09 (UNI) Four people including two women were killed and six others injured when a wall of mud collapsed and fell on them at Nazirpur village under Ujiyarpur police station area in the district today.
Police Superintendent Harpreet Kaur said here that the mishap took place when some people were digging soil near a pond for Chhath festival. She said that the deceased had been identified as Runa Devi (42), Rajkumari Devi (50) and Amit Kumar (16). The identity of one more deceased was yet to be known.
Ms Kaur said that the injured had been admitted to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital after their primary treatment at Samastipur Sadar Hospital. The bodies have been sent for autopsy, she added.
