Four including a woman held for running fake WFH job syndicate

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Four persons including a woman were arrested from Delhi for allegedly running fake Work from Home (WFH) job syndicate. They used to offer work from home through fake job portals and assigned targets that can’t be achieved and they were made to pay penalties, police said on Sunday.
The Delhi Police Special Cell busted a module involved in extortion and cheating gullible job aspirants in the name of providing WFH opportunities through fake job portals.
The police cyber crime unit received complaints alleging that some websites were engaged in cheating innocent people by promising them to WFH jobs and giving them a task which was impossible to complete and later extorts money by threatening them to drag in court cases for not completing the task.
