Four held in jewellery shop burglary

Bhubaneswar, Jan 14 (UNI) The Commissionerate of Police today solved a case of gold and silver jewellery stolen from a jewellery shop on I B road Jagatpur, Cuttack on the night of December 4 last year with the arrest of five people.
Cuttack DCP Pratik Singh Said police seized 38.5-gram gold ornaments, 25.5 kg silver ornaments, a car, two two-wheelers, four mobile phones, one gas cutter, two crowbars and Rs 12,400 in cash from their possession.
The DCP said during interrogation prime accused Tapan Kumar Sethi confessed to have committed the crime. The criminals have distributed some amount of ornaments among themselves and sold the rest to Prafulla Kumar Sahu, a jeweller at Haripur road Cuttack.
