Four held at Calicut International Airport for smuggling gold from Gulf

Malappuram, Jul 12 (UNI) Amid row over the gold smuggling racket in Kerala, four persons were arrested at the Calicut International airport on Sunday for smuggling a total of 2.5 kilogram of gold, worth Rs.1.30 crore.
According to sources, the accused Kasaragod natives Muhammed Midlaj, Abdul Sathar, Muhammed Faisal and Thiruvananthapuram-native Simsmol reached the airport in chartered flight from Ras-al-Khaimah early on Sunday morning.
Separate cases have been registered against the four accused and are being investigated.
