Foundation stone laid for C&D waste Plant at Industrial area Ph-I

Chandigarh, Dec 22 (UNI) Mayor of Chandigarh Davesh Moudgill laid the foundation stone for transportation, processing facility of construction and demolition waste plant at Industrial area Phase-I here on Saturday.
While sharing details about the project, the Mayor said that the work has been approved this year amounting to Rs 235.49 lakhs to implement construction & demolition bye laws 2016. He said that the time limit to complete the project has been fixed to March 31, 2019.
The Mayor elaborated that this work consist of processing of construction and demolition waste & manufacturing of PCC products to be used for pavements, road work, fencing work etc. Processing plant will accept all cement, construction demolition waste except steel up to the size 1-1.5 feet which will be processed by crushing and washing in four type of aggregates i.e. sand, 10mm Bajri, 20mm Bajri, and 40mm Bajri.
