Foundation for residential school for autistic children laid

Silcha (Assam), August 8 (UNI): The process of setting up a residential school with high-tech facilities for autistic children at Jalinga tea garden in Cachar district of Assam officially started with the bhoomi pujan ceremony in the garden on Saturday.
Ketan Patel, director of Jalinga tea garden, said the residential school – Aryan’s Gurukul – will be one of the best institutions for differently-abled kids in the country. “Pollution-free, serene atmosphere – the garden is a perfect place to nurture the minds, which have a different way of looking at life," he said.
Neera Bhatnager, partner, Climate Conscious Food Products (CCFP) said the residential school will be set up in an area of 15 bighas and that the project, on which an estimated amount of Rs. 4 crore will be spent, will be wrapped up within the next one year.
