Former Union Minister stresses upon the quality of Education in HP

Shimla, Sep 20 (UNI) Former Union Minister stressed up on the quality of Education in institute of higher learning like Central University stating that increasing tendency of suicide among the students is cause of concern.
Addressing students on this occasion 5th Convocation of Central Unversity Mr Shanta Kumar said this without mentioning the name of Hyderabad University Student Rohit Vimula former chief minister expressed sadness on the increasing suicidal rate among students.
He said “life is full of ordeals and one have to face all hurdles boldly, only then aims can be achieved.”

MP CM, others tested prior to House session

Bhopal, Sep 21 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday underwent a pulse oximeter test and had his temperature checked prior to entering the Assembly building for attending a single-day session, it was officially learnt.
The senior politician followed every precautionary measure in letter and spirit as the state continues to be locked in combat with the ‘millennium scourge’.

PMT scam rap-sheet names pvt colleges’ bosses

Bhopal, Sep 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government admitted on Monday in the Assembly that four private medical colleges’ directors and other functionaries were named as accused in a Central Bureau of Investigation charge-sheet – submitted approximately a year earlier in a special court – pertaining to inconsistencies vis-à-vis admissions made through the medium of the Pre-Medical Test 2012.
In a written reply to Mr Pratap Grewal (opposition Congress), Home Minister Narottam Mishra averred, “Complying with a Supreme Court order directive July 9, 2015 – regarding a writ petition – the Professional Examination Board-related cases were handed over to the federal inquiry agency therefore the state’s Special Task Force took no further action in that context. A communication from a CBI office in the state capital unambiguously mentioned that it is probing every PMT-linked irregularity from 2004 to 2013.”

MP House clears 8 bills

Bhopal, Sep 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly – during a single-day session on Monday – witnessed passage of eight proposals for legislation including the Appropriation Bill relating to supplementary demands, it was officially learnt.
The Appropriation Bill was presented by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra and passed by voice vote. Others included the Moneylenders (Amendment) Bill, Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, Municipal Laws (Third Amendment) Bill, Scheduled Tribes Loan Waiver Bill and Finance Bill.
