Former UNI journalist Nikhil Bhattacharya dies

New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Former journalist with the United News of India Nikhil Bhattacharya died here on Tuesday evening after a prolong illness, family sources said.
He was 80 and survived by wife, daughter, son-in-law and a grandchild.
Bhattacharya had been suffering from paralysis over the last five years.
He had been admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he breathed his last.
A popular name among the media fraternity and politicians, Bhattacharya retired from UNI in the late 90s as a Special Correspondent.
After his retirement, he worked as Delhi correspondent for a Tripura-based newspaper, called 'Dainik Samvad'.
