Former PYC chief holds Chetna Yatra to mark birth anniversary of Mahatma, Shastri

Jalandhar, Oct 2(UNI) Former Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) chief Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary held Chetna Yatra from village Bundala in Phillaur assembly constituency on the historic day of birth anniversary of Father of the nation- Mahatma Gandhi and late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Paying obeisance at the village Durga Mata temple on the second Navratra day where villagers and Congress activists were present to give a warm welcome to the Congress leader. The yatra was flagged off in the presence of MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary, municipal councilors and Youth Congress activists.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikramjit Singh said that the main objective of this yatra is to apprise each one about the pro poor, pro farmer, pro dalit and good work done by Congress led UPA Government and all to come in direct and face to face contact with the people of the constituency.
