Former minister Manju Verma surrenders in Arms Act

Begusarai, Nov 20 (UNI) Former Minister and suspended JD (U) MLA Manju Verma, absconding for nearly three months in connection with recovery of illegally kept cartridges during a CBI raid, surrendered before a court in the district today.
Former social welfare minister Ms Verma surrendered before Manjhaul sub-divisional court in the district. To hide her identity, Ms Verma was wearing a veil when she appeared before the court.
Ms Verma`s husband Chandrashekhar Verma is considered close to the main accused of sexual exploitation of inmates at Muzaffarpur`s short stay home forcing her to resign from her ministerial post.
