Former IPCC Chairman meets State Counsellor Suu Kyi

Yangon, Myanmar, Aug 26 (UNI) Chairman of the Energy Farm International Foundation and former Chairman of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change-IPCC, Dr RK Pachauri, has a meeting here with State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

A report in the "Global New Light of Myanmar" today said that Dr Pachauri met her at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the matters of climate change and environmental conservation, mangrove conservation in Ayeyawady delta region and electrification in rural areas of Myanmar.
