Former Haryana Minister, MLAs join Cong , express faith in Rahul’s leadership

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Congress today got a shot in the arm in Haryana with many senior leaders, including former Minister and former MLAs, joining the party here, reposing faith in the leadership of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. The leaders, who joined the Congress included four time MLA and ex-minister Jai Singh Rana; Rao Arjun Singh, the son of Rao Ajit Singh and the grandson of former Haryana Chief Minister Rao Birender Singh; the wife of Rao Ajit Singh Savita Singh; Balmiki leader and former MLA Phool Singh Kheri and backward class leader from Pundri Satbir Singh Bhana, who contested last assembly election as an independent candidate. The leaders expressed their faith in policies and programmes of Congress party. They said that the people of Haryana are looking forward to Congress party coming back to power in the state as the BJP Governments of state and the Centre have failed to deliver. Speaking on the occasion, Haryana Congress in-charge and AICC General Secretary Kamal Nath asked all the leaders to work for strengthening the Congress Party in a dedicated manner and said that BJP Government led by Mr. Manohar Lal has failed the people of Haryana. AICC Communications In-Charge and Kaithal MLA Randeep Singh Surjewala also welcomed the leaders into the party. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Surjewala said,’’the people of the state have realised that BJP wanted to distract people's attention from its failures by dividing people on caste lines.’’.
