Former Dy PM LK Advani on 4-day visit to Shimla

Shimla, Jun 19 (UNI) BJP veteran and former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani will be on a week-long sojourn to this state capital, starting from June 22, an official of the state government confirmed here on Thursday.

Mr Advani, who is likely to arrive through a helicopter from New Delhi, is scheduled to stay in a newly-built hospitality unit at Mashobra, about 15 km from here, a state protocol officer told UNI.

He will be accorded a warm welcome by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and his Council of Ministers. Mr Advani will supposedly take a short halt at the Raj Bhawan and then leave for Mashobra, the officer added.

He said the former Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by his daughter and other family members. The BJP veteran is scheduled to leave for Delhi on June 25.
