Former CM Naveen thanks Odisha as state tops RTE retention in 2023-24

Bhubaneswar, Sep 11 (UNI) Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed happiness over Odisha achieving the highest student retention rate under the Right to Education (RTE) Act during 2023-24.
In a post on his social media platform X today, Patnaik wrote, "Glad to share that #Odisha has recorded the highest retention rate among students of four states enrolled under the Right to Education (RTE) Act during 2023-24."
According to the Right to Education Retention Report published by Indus Action, Odisha achieved an impressive retention score of 97 percent.

Five killed, over 70 injured as bus overturns at Orsa Ghat

Latehar, Jan 18 (UNI) Five passengers including four women were killed while more than 70 passengers were injured, several of them critically, when a passenger bus plyimg from Balrampur in Chhattisgarh to the famous tourist destination Lodh Falls, met with a major mishap on Sunday at Orsa Ghat in Latehar district of Jharkhand. The accident occurred after the bus reportedly suffered brake failure while descending a steep slope, causing it to overturn, police officials said.
