Former cabinet minister Enos Ekka held guilty in Money Laundering case

Ranchi, Mar 21 (UNI) Former Cabinet Minister Enos Ekka was held guilty by a special ED court in a money laundering case.
The court of special ED judge Anil Kumar Mishra held Ekka who had served as a cabinet minister in Madhu Koda government guilty in the case and has set March 31 as the date of announcing the quantum of punishment. The former minister has been accused of money laundering worth Rs 20.21 crore.
In the money laundering case, the ED has already attached properties of the former minister and his relatives located in Jharkhand, West Bengal and Delhi. Ekka appeared before the special ED court through video conferencing.
On March 7, both the sides had completed their arguments before the court after which the court had set March 21 as the date of announcing the verdict. The ED had registered the case against Ekka in the year 2009.
