Former BJP councilor’s brother shot dead in Etah

Etah, Nov 09 (UNI) The brother of a former councilor and BJP leader was shot dead. The deceased has been identified as Hamid Ali alias Pappu, a resident of Marhara Darwaza, police said on Sunday.
According to reports, the incident took place between 11:30 PM and 12 midnight on Saturday. Early in the morning on Sunday, local residents out for a walk discovered Hamid Ali’s blood-soaked body near the railway track and immediately informed the police.
As news of the murder spread, panic gripped the area. A police team led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shyam Narayan Singh, along with forensic experts and a dog squad unit, reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area for investigation.
