Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jan 23 2016 7:29PM Former BJD MLA joins BJP with supportersBhubaneswar, Jan 23 (UNI) Former BJD MLA Sidharta Sekhar Singh today joined the BJP with several of his supporters, including former sarpanches, ward member and councilors. BJP state unit president Basant Panda, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan, former MP Rudra Madhab Ray and former minister Samir Dey senior party leader Bishwa Bhushan Harichandan, who were present at the joining function welcomed Mr Singh and his supporters to the party. Mr Singh, former BJD MLA from Khandpada, said he chose to join the BJP as he was influenced by the vision of Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi and his slogan ‘Sabka sath, sabka vikash’. He said he would try his best to take forward the welfare programmes launched by the Prime Minister to the people and work to strengthen the party at the grass root level in Khandpada constituency.
