Forest fire in Kishtwar's Paddar under control, teams on job

Jammu, Oct 2 (UNI) The devastating fire broke out in the woods on higher reaches has been controlled in Paddar area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources here on Friday told UNI that the fire broke out around three days back in the forest area on the higher reaches.
"The spot was on upper reaches of the hills so fire tenders could not be pressed into service but teams of forest department, local police, VDC members, civilians helped in controlling the fire," they said.

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
