Panaji, Dec 4 (UNI) Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Tuesday said that foreigners-run unlicenced businesses in the state had become drug haven and hence he has ordered a crackdown on them.
Addressing a press conference at his office in the city, he said the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) which works under State Health Ministry had prepared a list of business establishments being operated by the foreigners and the same would be raided.
'Right from shacks to everywhere FDA will play its role in inspecting the establishments. The places where the foreigners are operating have become drugs' paradise. I requested DIG to provide a dedicated police force which can go with our inspectors to check. A team will go the tourist belts and shut shops doing business without FDA's permission,' he said.
