For 1st time, Telangana’s single-day Covid-19 cases tally crosses 1200-mark

Hyderabad, Jul 2 (UNI) For the first time, Telangana’s single-day Covid-19 tally crossed the 1200-mark since the outbreak of the pandemic, with as many as 1213 people testing positive for the virus on Thursday.
Out of the fresh cases reported on Thursday, it is also for the first time that the number of positive cases in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits touched 998, followed by Medchal ( 54), Ranga Reddy (48), Khammam ( 18) and Warangal-Rural (10) among 23 other districts in the state.
The total count of cases till date now stands at 18,570 while in the last 24-hours, eight more patients succumbed to the infection taking the death toll to 275 in the state, according to a medical bulletin released by the state Medical and Health authorities here tonight.
