Fogging & sanitisation campaign at peak in UP in view of water-borne diseases

Lucknow, July 9 (UNI) Emphasizing prevention before treatment, the Uttar Pradesh government has speeded up awareness drive about the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, and the importance of nutritional food to prevent the health challenges caused due to water-borne diseases and other seasonal vagaries.
The Yogi government has directed the officials to ensure regular sanitation and fogging drives to protect the state from vector-borne diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya and others, officials here on Saturday said.
Scaling up preventive measures against water-borne and vector-borne diseases arising out of seasonal vagaries, the health workers have been instructed to pay door-to-door visits to identify patients with viral fever, vector-borne diseases and other symptoms.
