Focus Tier-II, III cities rather than metros for setting up new industries: Gadkari

Nagpur, Jul 2 (UNI) Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday asserted that companies should go for Tier-II and Tier-III cities rather than the metros for setting up new industries.
The opinion from the Minister came during the inauguration of “ new global innovation park facility” at Manesar, Gurugram through video conferencing.
Speaking after the inauguration, Mr Gadkari said, “ Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru have reached their saturation in industrialisation. And hence now companies should focus on tier-II/tier-III cities, where skilled manpower is already available, where we need the centralisation of industry for employment potential".
“ We have got skilled manpower with technical knowledge in those places. We have socially, economically, educationally backward areas where the government's stress is on giving more employment potential and his government will extend all possible support for it,” Gadkari said.
The Union Minister also said that Indian origin companies struggling for global success is the way forward towards fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of Self-reliant India (Atma Nirbhar Bharat).
Mr Gadkari further added that it gives him immense pride and pleasure when he see Indian origin companies setting their eyes for global success.
