Madikeri, Karnataka, Aug 19(UNI) The death in the flood and landslide related incidents has risen to 11 with a 60 year-old body recovered at Thora region in Heggala village in Vijrajpet Taluk of the District.
The rescue team found the body of Shankara who was missing and was suspected to be buried under debris after four to five houses collapsed due to landslide on August 9 at Thora on Sunday the search continued as five more persons have been reported as missing.
Cracks were found in Aiyyappa hills and Nehrunagara in Kodagu even as a team of Geological Survey of India visited the spot and inspected suspecting the possibility of landslides in the area, the team has asked the District administration to house 58 families from these places at relief centers till August 31.
