Flood : Special Sanitation drive begins by GHMC to ensure waterlogged colonies comes to normalcy

Hyderabad, Oct 29 (UNI) In order to ensure that all the waterlogged colonies was brought to normalcy due to recent floods in view of heavy rains in the city, a Special Sanitation Drive was started in the highly affected 235 colonies in GHMC, on a mission mode approach, by hiring additional vehicles and manpower.

While 242 vehicles were already existing in the GHMC, an additional 495 vehicles were engaged and a total of 737 vehicles, with 177 JCBs, 26 Bobcats, 258 Tippers, 96 Six Tonners, 126 Ten Tonners and 44 Tractors are working round the clock along with 334 Pumps for De-Watering and De-Sledging operations at a record pace, GHMC said in a release here on Thursday.

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
