Five workers die of asphyxiation

Eluru, Mar 30 (UNI) Five workers died of asphyxiation when they were cleaning a chemical tank at an Aqua Food Park at Mogalturu in West Godavari district today. Police said the deceased workers went inside the chemical tank to clean it. They inhaled poisonous gas and fell unconscious. Suspecting some went wrong, the management of the food park informed the police and fire brigade. The fire brigade personnel brought out them from the tank. However, all workeres died by then. The deceased were identified as Boddu Rambabu, Nallam Edukondalu, Jakkamsetti Pravin , Thota Srinivasa Rao and Eega Edukondalu. On coming to know about the incident, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu spoke to West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar and directed him to provide all needy help to the bereaved families. Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief and shock over the incident. Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended at their village due to their death.
