Five members of an inter-state gang arrested, nearly 15 kg of gold recovered

Patna, Jan 20 (UNI) A team of Special Task Force (STF) arrested a most wanted criminal and the kingpin of an inter-state gang Subodh Singh and his four other accomplices and recovered nearly 15 kgs of gold and firearms following a fierce gunbattle under Rupaspur police station area here late last night.
Patna Police Superintendent (STF) Ranjeet Kumar Mishra said here that Subodh Singh and his gang were involved in various cases of loot of jewellery in various states including Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and West Bengal. He said nearly 15 kgs of jewellery, one regular pistol, revolver and country made pistol each, a new SUV and a motorcycle were recovered from the gang.
Mr Mishra said, some police officers also sustained injuries in the gunbattle but all of them were out of danger. He said that an outlaw also sustained injuries when he jumped from a building in his attempt to escape police dragnet.
