Five, including four members of a family, feared dead after vehicle falls in Teesta

Kalimpong, Jan 24 (UNI) Five people, including four members of a family are feared killed after a small passenger car from Tadong in Sikkim bound for north Bengal rolled down into Teesta near here , police said today.
Teesta check post police officer Lakhpa Bhutia confirmed that the body of 14-year-old girl Shakhi Rai, one of the occupants of the car, was found floating near the site of mishap.
The accident happened on NH 10 near Likhuvir under Kalimpong district.
The Alto-800 car, registered in Sikkim, had Chandan Rai, his wife Tulshi Rai, son Sargam Rai (19) and daughter Shakhi Rai (14).
The family was the resident of Tadong in Sikkim, and was traveling to Birpara in the Dooars, said Mr Bhutia.
The driver was missing and his identity was not known yet.
The car and the travellers, except the daughter of the family, have not been found yet though a speed boat and rafts have been pressed into search operation.
