Five from Belgaum arrested for attack on group of Christians in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Dec 27 (UNI) The Rural Police on Friday arrested five youths from the Belgaum district of neighbouring Karnataka for allegedly attacking a group belonging to the Christian community on
Sunday last at Kowad village in Chandgad tehsil of the district, some 100 Kms from here.
About 25 to 30 youths armed with lathis, swords, knives and iron rods came on motorcycles at Kowad village on Sunday last and attacked the group of Christians who had gathered for a prayer, injuring ten people including four women.
