Five arrested under NDPS Act in Kangra district - SSP

Dharamshala, Feb 4 (UNI) Kangra police arrested five persons one each from Baijnath, Bagsunag and Kangra and two from Palampur under Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS) Act following seizure of heroin and Charas from their possession during last 48 hours, police said here today.
Kangra District Senior Superintendent of Police Khushal Chand Sharma told UNI today that under Police Station Baijnath police recovered 8.54 grams of heroin from the possession of a Baijnath resident Minesh Kumar at Binwah bridge at Baijnath in Kangra district. SSP said that on Saturday 9 grams of Heroin has been recovered from Ladi Kumar resident of Bhallewala Khuh Amritsar Punjab at Bagsunag falling under Mcleodganj police station and in this connection police registered cases under Section 21-61-85 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
SSP said that a case has been registered against Nitish Kumar and Abeshek Kumar both residents of Palampur under section 21, 29-61-85 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act following recovery of 7.16 grams of heroin from their possession at Palampur.
