Five arrested for printing, circulating fake currency in Malappuram

Malappuram, Nov 15 (UNI) Feroke police today arrested a five-member gang, aged between 20 and 19, on charges of allegedly printing and circulating counterfeit currency notes, following raids conducted at their houses in Malappuram and Kozhikode districts.
Police seized 57 counterfeit Rs 500 denomination notes from the gang along with a printer and printing papers from their possessions.
The arrested have been identified as Vijin of Vaidyarangadi, Athul Krishna of Kondotty, Amjadh Shah and Afnas of Areekode and Sarang of Mukkam in Kozhikode district.
