First session of newly constituted Bihar Legislative Assembly from tomorrow

Patna, Nov 22 (UNI) Five day session of newly constituted Bihar Legislative Assembly will begin from tomorrow.
All newly elected MLAs would be administered oath by pro-tem speaker Jeetan Ram Manjhi on November 23 and 24.
Election of Speaker of the new assembly would be held on on November 25. Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan would address the joint sitting of both Houses of Bihar legislature on November 26 while on last day of the session on November 27, there would be debate on thanks motion to Governor for his address to joint sitting of both Houses of Legislature.
Government would give its reply on the debate same day.
Bihar Legislative Council would have only two settings on November 26 and 27.
In view of Corona pandemic, sittings of Bihar Legislative Assembly would be held in Central Hall while sittings of Bihar Legislative Council would be held in Assembly hall.
During the Monsoon session, the sittings of both Assembly and Council were changed due to Corona pandemic.
All precautions have been taken as per guidelines to check spread of Coronavirus infection.
Physical distancing would be maintained in the sitting arrangements of MLAs, MLCs and others during the session.
Wearing masks has been made compulsory for all legislators attending the session.
