First COVID-19 positive patient in East Godavari discharged

Kakinada, Mar 3 (UNI) A 22-year old MBA student, the first Coronavirus positive patient in East Godavari district, has been discharged from the government general hospital(GGH) here on Friday after 14 days of treatment that too getting confirmed as negative twice.
Since it is a memorable occasion in the wake of COVID-19 creating scare globally and the patient recovered, the hospital authorities made it a great event by inviting the media and other district officials. Interestingly the district collector himself bade farewell to him by shaking hands unmindful of the cardinal principle of social distancing ,the vital remedy for preventing the global pandemic corona virus.
The other district top officials also followed the Collector faithfully in shaking hands with the patient before he walked out of the hospital corridors along with family members. The 22 year old youth was doing his MBA at London and returned to his native place Rajahmundry on March 16 by flight via Dubai, Hyderabad .
