First COVID-19 death in Phagwara

Phagwara, Aug 13 (UNI) Phagwara came on COVID map when it registered its first death on Thursday.
This was confirmed by Senior Medical Officer Dr Kamal Kishore while talking to UNI here Thursday.
He said that the deceased Harjinder Singh(58), resident of Shastri Nagar in Mehli Gate Phagwara who was also suffering from respiratory disease and found tested positive died late Wednesday night.

Punjab to put Barcode, QR code to ensure supply of genuine seeds to farmers

Chandigarh, Sep 19 (UNI) In another farmer-friendly initiative that will protect the farmers from unscrupulous traders selling fake or low-quality seeds, Punjab has decided to deploy advanced certification technology, including Barcodes and QR codes, to ensure that farmers get genuine seeds of various crops, including wheat and rice.
