First batch of pilgrims reach base camps to start Amarnath yatra tomorrow

Srinagar, Jun 28 (UNI) The first batch of 2280 pilgrims had arrived at Baltal and Nunwan Pahalgam base camp safely this afternoon, officials said.
The yatris, including 422 women and 47 sakhis, left Bagwati Nagar base camp from Jammu early this morning.
The yatris, booked to undertake the pilgrimage to holy cave from shortest track had arrived at Baltal base camp in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, they told UNI.
